Bjorn, is a criminal defence lawyer who – in book one – discovered that murder really was a very handy way to solve a whole bunch of problems that were upending his life. Now though, he really wants to stop the murder but once again he’s stressed out and his family life is not going great. Most of all, he really can’t afford to release the violent Russian gangster Boris who he’s been keeping locked in the basement for the past six months.
So he returns to his mindfulness coach for a refresher in mindfulness and to work with his inner child — who actually proves to be remarkably helpful!
My Inner Child Wants to Murder Mindfully is as fun and entertaining as book one. The juxtaposition of ruthless violence and mindfulness remains very entertaining, although inevitably the concept is not as fresh and surprising as in the first book in the series, of course.
And satire or not, I even found some of the insights into his inner child quite enlightening!
My thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the auther for giving me a free copy of this book. All my reviews are 100% honest and unbiased, regardless of how I acquire the book.
